About the artwork Schwefelarm

The work "Schwefelarm" by Muchenberger is a deeply symbolic composition made of oil soot and dammar on canvas. The soot used comes from oil stove combustion in the winter of 2020.

The piece "Schwefelarm" serves as a metaphor for the traces humans leave in their environment. The use of soot and dammar imparts a unique texture and depth to the work, capturing a sense of transience and permanence simultaneously.
