All plants were found in the city or its surrounding landscapes.

This Series is about the space between holding on and letting go of something. It may be about starting a new chapter in your life, losing someone you love or just change in general. But taking the step to let go of something familiar is always challenging. Autumn leaves changing color, stopped in time and floating mid air.

These illustrations stay true to the values of classic botanical illustration.
They show scientifically important parts of the plant, including dissections, while striving for high artistic merit.

Here, the artworks focus is on composition and artisitic expression rather than scientific purpose.
I wanted to create dynamic and interesting pieces, showing the plants in a new perspective.

This is a series of paintings I started in 2020. I consulted with different orchid growers and visited plant exhibitions to find the perfect specimens for my illustrations. Many of the plants are still growing in my home.
