About the artwork The Kiss

Titled after the two tiny aphids sitting on the lowest right side petal looking as if they are about to kiss, which were positioned on this tulip just the way I painted them when I took my reference pictures.

About the artist Isabel Mischka

Born in 1996 in Austria, Mischka graduated with distinction from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in 2019 and received the James & Eve Bennett Trust Fund Award. She is a fellow member of the Society of Botanical Artists, UK.
